...the more I like the Pentastar V6. It just has gobs of power, available whenever you mash the throttle.

I've been driving one once a week to pick up some OT, and it's way better than the previous generation Ford Transit Connects. We can't keep the Fords on the road, they just keep breaking. These Rams have had very few issues.

Even the Promasters feel quick with the 3.6. I just don't like the sound on startup.

The Ram dealer brought a Promaster by for us to check it out. Seating position is weeeeeird! I like them, but they're too big for our purposes.

Ram? I'm renaming these "Caravans with white windows."

it's not a bad engine at all, but they need something else for the Wrangler.

Really? I would have thought that it would do well in the Wrangler, but I haven't driven one with it.

The down fall is the sound it makes... or lack there of. It' just too smooth and quite for a Wrangler IMO.

It doesn't sound very pleasant under full throttle, but it is a good engine. Powerful, and pretty good on gas. I've experienced this motor in several different cars (Caravan, T&C, Charger, Challenger) but I imagine the Cargo Ram, being stripped down, must be pretty fast.

Ours blew an alternator at 9k miles. Electrical system is stock, its just a parts hauler.

Needing a dealer only oil filter (2014) is stupid. Why they changed it from the '13 I do not know.

It does not feel fast or anything to me..... in fact the engine is loud and does not produce a pleasing note. No it is not in ECO mode.

We had a 2008 before this new one and while it was dead reliable (except for the ignition module going out) for 90k+, and it saved our drive in a tangle with a semi, it was always a little rough around the edges.
